6 Ways To Showcase Your Style

It may be 2021, but vintage trends are totally dominating. What was once in will definitely be back again in the future. We already know fashion is cyclical and trends began and evolved from fashion houses to magazines in the past. While this may still be the case, it is not just these sources that play a role in popular fashion trends anymore. Fashion trends now start from run way #hellofashionweek , from street style, celebrities, and even fashion bloggers. Fashion trends today are looks inspired by the runways during #fashionweek. In addition, street style like the name says are looks people wear in their everyday life that makes an impact on those who see them and become inspired. This is because the looks are easier to recreate and easily pulled off.
Fashion hasn't always been the same evolved version that we see today. People love trends that allow them some comfort while still being chic. An example is the ugly sneaker trend which started in 2018 and 3 years later this trend is still going. Enjoying life in the clothes that don't cause discomfort is the new aesthetic, and fortunately vintage and vintage inspired pieces have been the fashion headline of the year.
Let's talk about the current trend in women's fashion which is all round vintage inspired. In a post lock-down society, oversized clothes have become the new norm. Although I am not a 100% fan of the 90's oversized aesthetic, style is totally individual and I believe we all should wear what makes us feel good. I am also confident that sophisticated looks can be spun from the right mix of oversized ensembles.
So, if you are a fan of this trend keep reading to find the perfect aesthetic outfits to showcase your style.

1. The oversized blazer. This trend has become more and more popular. It is not the boyfriend blazer which is a moderately cut version of the oversized blazer, the overall silhouette is boxy not fitted. The oversized blazer is usually found in the men's department. I suggest borrowing one from your husband/boyfriend or better yet, head to the men's department yourself.

2. Oversized t-shirt. The post lockdown fashion is all about being cozy and relaxed. It is no surprise that the oversized tees are everywhere. This trend has also been seen on the run way with brands like Prada, Valentino, and Louis Vuitton show casing the baggy outfit.

3. Military boots. These are comfortable, cute and easy to style. Wear them with dresses, skirts, jeans, shorts and the very obvious one leggings.

4. Oversized shirts. This trend is easily my favorite and I have been making trips to my husband's closet just for it. It can be worn as a dress, belted at the waist. You can keep it solo, style with your favorite jean, leggings, or shorts.
5. Printed silk scarf. We surely have seen influencers and fashion people tying the printed silk scarves around their necks, torso, and hair. The 70's moved in to 2021 with this trend.

6. Vests. I am so loving this trend. They come in a variety of fabrics even knits. Layer a vest over a turtleneck for an ultimate vintage look or wear an oversized vest as a dress.
